This oxidised silver and rock crystal ring by artist and contemporary jewellery designer Stefanie Verhoef is a playful examination of the often blurred boundaries
between the conceptualisation of jewellery and the mere function of jewellery, where she strives for the perfect harmony between the two. The purpose of the collection is to portray a communicative visual language of asymmetry with complimentary
shapes, the possibility of co-existence between the two despite their perceived incompatibility, comparable to the diversity of multi-multiculturalism sharing one space among an abundance of creatively innovative yet mish-mash buildings in metropolis cities, resulting in a beauty of an architectural mess.
